Held at Saint George Events & Wine | 249 Saint George Street, Moncton NB
Join us for a vegetable themed rooftop party with special guests DJ Beets and Beans!
Grown in the same garden at Notre-Dame de Kent and passionate about music and theatre, Bianca Richard and Xavier Richard form the duo Beets and Beans. A punk duo that knows how to groove to the beets of their Acadian folklore by mixing techno, folk instrument, punk bisco, danjo, wood of water, you know!
Xavier Richard is an Acadian musician, composer and sound producer based in Notre-Dame de Kent. Trained in classical guitar and composition at the Université de Moncton, it’s been more than ten years that he has been wandering between studios, stages and slightly crazy projects, signing the music for plays, albums and multidisciplinary creations. As comfortable behind a console as behind instruments, he likes to mix business: art music, noise, groove and Acadian DIY culture.
Bianca Richard, who is based in Bouctouche, is an actress and puppeteer who sometimes writes theatre and short films. Based in Bouctouche. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in drama from the Université de Moncton in 2013. Since then, she has navigated between acting, theatrical creation and media arts. A big fan of dance parties, humans and sounds in nature: with Beets and Beans, she finally plunges into a childhood dream of being a DJ and animating a dance floor.
With Beets and Beans, his DJ project with Bianca Richard, dives into an unpredictable mix of beats, electronic textures and punk energy — a set that smells of garage band, cheap synths and nights that never really end.
