Orie Nakagawa

After discovering cooking during a pivotal moment in her life, Orie Nakagawa turned a newfound passion into a professional journey. What began in her rural hometown grew into opportunities in Tokyo’s international hotels and restaurants, as well as private chef services for families. She later completed a one-year Culinary Program at North Island College, refined her skills at a French bistro in Whistler, and earned her Red Seal certification, a mark of culinary excellence in Canada.

Drawn to New Brunswick’s bilingual Acadian culture and opportunities for growth, Orie relocated from Whistler to Moncton, embracing her new community with warmth and dedication. She specializes in sharing the simplicity, health, and accessibility of Japanese home cooking, showing how a few basic techniques can bring authentic family-style meals to life.

Orie looks forward to sharing not only the flavours but also the spirit of Japanese hospitality through her cooking.
